Dunbar ..... they are the only team I have seen this year. They dominated the Washington University tournament. Their A team played their B team in the finals of that one. It was ridiculous. And the teams that they beat weren't pushovers either. They plowed through many of Missouri's top teams (minus Savannah, who wasn't there).

So I don't know about the competition in KY .... but Dunbar is a beast this year.

I'm not real sure as far as the overall standings, since i have no clue about the written assesment abilities of the players for some of the other top teams.
As far as quick recall, i see it being a three-team race between Manual, Dunbar, and Russell.

I would not count out Madisonville North Hopkins and Daviees County this year in Kentucky. They are both outstanding teams--also Central Hardin is a young and upcoming team that should not be underestimated.

Does Dunbar play at their own tournament?

Welcome to Simbabwe, where the property is already owned and the houses built and you compete to burn and dispossess them. Compete with Robert Mugabe, Canaan Banana, Cecil Rhodes and Sir Godfrey Huggins to earn a place on the all-time EU travel ban list!

No, they don't normally, but they may this year as they aren't using house written questions as far as I know.

We're not playing at our tournament.

Thanks for all comments, but KY Quizbowl/Testing is very strong. When there are teams like Manual (won UVA, congrats), Russell, Daviess County, Johnson Central, Madisonville, etc., that's something.
All the way...
