So the current aPPB adjustment for HFT is +1.56; this is to say, the average PPB for teams that played HFT is 1.56 points lower than that same team's PPB on a IS level NAQT set. For comparison, last year's HFT was +2.43; last year's BHSAT was +1.03; this year's ACF Fall is currently at +2.22; this year's Maryland Spring is currently at +2.21.

This year's number will change as more teams get IS stat lines and/or play HFT. Bonus conversion data isn't the only thing that should be looked at; I'd like to one day start evaluating what percentage of tossups are answered correctly by teams, but I've yet to have the time to do that.

Thanks for doing this. Is it safe to say that, at least on bonuses, Harvard QB made the questions easier than last year?

Too early to say definitively.

We actually felt the bonuses were a lot harder, especially given that our current A team, which is our B team from last year with our fourth scorer replaced by our captain Varun (who is also top scorer), scored only a slightly higher ppb than last year's B team despite having greatly improved.

With regards to HFT's bonuses, I feel that almost every one was a sure ten, but to get 30 (on average) required deeper knowledge than previous HFT sets. However, bonus difficulty varied WILDLY among packets and subjects, so the current aPPB is great, but might not be the most accurate.

Despite the logistical hiccups, Loudoun County enjoyed the set and the tournament.
For the stats, on round 6 (Loudoun County v Lexington), we had 16.67ppb, not 5.56ppb, with a score of 245-295.
