I think Buccholz will definitely be looking to be regionally dominant. From personal experience I can say Kevin is OP and with a good supporting crew (Mike) to carry him they can do some real damage. Don't know much about Ransom, but they seem really good too and I think they will be the top team in Florida. This is just an outsider's take though...

Ransom returns David, so they're going to be really good again next year, Buchholz returns everyone except for Robin, Eastside loses Victoria, and I think Samir from American Heritage is going into his senior year. Other than that, I don't actually know anything about other Floridian teams.

From the FL NASAT performance, it becomes evident that both Ransom Everglade school and Bucholz will be national contenders next year. It becomes pertinent that schools such as Buchholz attempt to travel if possible and play out of region tournaments. I encourage kevin (Master) and Mike to try and come to CSWIFT, as we will offer significant discount for far away teams. Due to our optimal location between two of the most competetive circuits in the nation (DC metro and Northeast), we will be trying to build a strong and diverse field containing the best teams from both regions, which should be among the best fields at any regular season tournaments aside from Texas Invitational and the like. Archimeadean graduates Shiva, so they might be less of a force.

I rarely check into the HS threads, but I'm glad I did here. If any of you players on serious Florida HS teams are interested in playing in the Delta Burke tournament at Valencia College (Orlando) on November 14-15, feel free to contact me. Please note, however, that first crack will be given to CC teams, so if I get over 36 teams from that level, I won't have any slots. But I haven't gotten that many in the last two years.

Chattahoochee would like to invite teams in Florida to attend our annual tournament, the CATT! The questions this year will be a mirror of the UMD set produced by the University of Maryland. As usual, our tournament will be held on the 2nd Saturday in December (12/13/2014) at Chattahoochee's campus in Johns Creek (5230 Taylor Road, 30022). Please refer to our post in the tournament announcement thread for more details and registration: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16383

Hope to see you there!

Hello, I am Krystian Doss (My stats). I am currently a high school senior, and I will be attending the University of South Alabama in the fall. I am looking to reboot USA's quizbowl program, which has been dormant since the late 1990's (USA's stats). I'd like to ask if there are any players in the North Florida area attending USA in the fall who are interested in playing quizbowl, please email me at [email protected].
