McMaster is pleased to announce that we shall be hosting a high school Quizbowl tournament on Oct. 24, 2015.
This tournament is intended to be an introduction for new teams in the region to the format of Quizbowl. We will be using the SCOP Novice 6 set. We are hoping for at least 5 or 6 teams, obviously the more the merrier.
Logistics:
Location: McMaster University Student Centre (MUSC)
Cost: In order to keep it accessible for local (and potentially cash-strapped) teams, the entry fee will be $25/team.
Discounts: We are offering a $5 discount on any team that brings an appropriate working buzzer system. (One discount per team)
Timing: Please arrive at McMaster by 8:45am, we are hoping for a 9:15am start. Depending on the size of the field, the tournament should likely be done by 4pm.
Lunch: Please either pack your own lunch, or bring money to buy lunch on campus. There are numerous options available for food in the vicinity.
For registration and additional information, please contact the TD, Peter Cordeiro ([email protected], or [email protected]), Jay Misuk ([email protected]), or myself ([email protected]).
Edit: McMaster is pleased to announce that MacIntro has been selected to be a qualifier for PACE's National Scholastics Championship.
