Unless I'm mistaken, two teams from this tournament qualify for HSNCT. What does the second-place tie mean in terms of who qualifies?

HSNCT qualification rules wrote:In general, every team tied for a spot in the top 15% receives an invitation, though NAQT reserves the right to break ties reported by the host at its own discretion (and so award fewer berths).

Re: OQT High School Tournament: November 21, Ottawa
Lisgar's coach investigated Merivale's enrollment figures. Merivale is now a small school (unfortunately in some ways) and can probably satisfactorily resolve the tie by being "third" and taking an SSNCT qualification; SSNCT site is far more practical for Canadian teams than HSNCT this year anyway.Around occasionally wrote:Unless I'm mistaken, two teams from this tournament qualify for HSNCT. We'll double-check Merivale's enrollment and issue invitations accordingly.
