Post by ezubaric »

On March 5, 2016, the University of Colorado will host the Colorado 2016 state championship. This is the second year NAQT has offered a Colorado State Championship. We had ten teams last year, and we're hoping for even more this year!

We have reached our capacity of 18 teams registered and one team (Ft. Morgan, who registered a heart-breaking one minute and five seconds after Elizabeth) on the waitlist. If any team is unable to come, let us know ASAP so we can give Ft. Morgan a spot.

You can see the schedule here (hopefully final):

Here are directions to the engineering center, where we'll be holding the tournament:

Free parking is available across the street:

Please check in outside the Engineering Center:

We'll have toroidal breakfast foods, juice, and information for you there. We'll set up around 8:45 AM for an on-time 9:30 AM start to play. If you're paying by check, please make checks out to University of Colorado Trivia Buffs. Don't forget to bring your buzzer systems.

We had a last-minute cancellation from Cherokee Trail High School's two teams. Ft. Morgan took one of those slots, but we now have room for an additional team.

If you're not already at the maximum number of teams (3) and would like to bring another team (or know of a school who'd like to get in), please contact [email protected] ASAP. First come, first served.

Congrats to Grand Junction who won the NAQT Colorado championship. Omaha North placed second with Ridgeview B winning the small school division (and tied for 3rd overall).
