Hello everyone,
I am happy to announce the 2019 Collaborative Academic Spring Tournament (CAST), a regular high school difficulty set. It will be available from January 1st, 2019, to May 19th (the weekend before HSNCT). We hope this set will be accessible to newer players by making sure easy parts and giveaways are accessible, while early clues and hard parts will still provide a challenge to more experienced teams. There will be 15 packets and the tossups will be powermarked. The length of each tossup will be between 5 and 6 lines in 10 point Times New Roman.
Writers and Editors:
This set will be written by me (William Golden of Taylor High School), Raj Paul, Akshay Govindan, and Moses Schindler (all from Ladue), Arjun Nageswaran, Olivia Lamberti, and Govind Prabhakar (all from Stevenson), Noah Sheidlower (Great Neck South), Geoffrey Chen (Wayzata), Deepak Moparthi (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, formerly Stevenson HS), and Jacob Augelli (Vanderbilt University, formerly Robinson HS).
The list of editors are Jacob O’Rourke (Literature, History), Kai Smith (Fine Arts), Eric Mukherjee (Science, History, Mythology), Alston Boyd (Religion, Philosophy, Social Science), Olivia Lamberti (Literature), and Jakob Myers (Current Events, Geography, Trash). I will be editing the Other Academic category and overseeing production of the set as a whole.
