Georgetown will be hosting its Winter Tournament on Saturday, December 1st, 2018. We will be mirroring the WHAQ III question set.
Location: The tournament will be hosted on Georgetown campus in the Edward B. Bunn Intercultural Center (commonly known as the ICC). Registration will begin at 8:00 am outside room ICC 115, and we expect round 1 to start at 9:00 am. Parking is available for free on weekends in the Southwest Garage. A map of campus is available at maps.georgetown.edu.
Fees
Base fee: $70 per team
Working buzzer system discount: -$5
Experienced staffer discount: -$10
Travel discount: -$10 (over 150 miles each way)
Minimum fee: $45
Registration
To register, please send an email to [email protected] with the number of teams, working buzzers, experienced moderators you plan on bringing, and if you will be using the travel discount. Please also provide the name and telephone number of a contact for the team. Please pay either in advance or on the day of the tournament. We will be accepting cash and check (if you choose check, please make it out to “Georgetown University Quiz Bowl”).
We have a soft cap of 20 teams but may adjust given staffer availability.

Also, this tournament is Platinum certified by PACE, so the top 25% of the field will qualify for the National Scholastic Championship.
