National Science Bowl 2007 (Who's going?)
I'm gonna make this for teams to post in once they have finished their regional competitions. Ours was today, and we get to go back to DC! Yeah, I'm pretty thrilled :)
Anyway, keep this to NSB discussion only, please.

Do you have any further results from your regional competition? Also, what school are you from?johnboy81918 wrote:I'm gonna make this for teams to post in once they have finished their regional competitions. Ours was today, and we get to go back to DC! Yeah, I'm pretty thrilled :)

After searching some of his past posts, he's John from Liberty, Missouri.
We also do have a separate thread about the format of Science Bowl, but this thread would be nice to have to identify people going to NSB.

That was, more or less, my intention when I created this thread. Conveniently enough, I somehow managed NOT to identify myself, though :(E.T. Chuck wrote:this thread would be nice to have to identify people going to NSB.
Anyway, you were right, I am John Ahlfield, from Liberty, MO. Last year was my first trip to NSB, and I had a lot of fun, though our team didn't do particularly well. This year, I'll try not to draw into the division with TJ and Santa Monica, among others :)

Yes, they had a combined region with Ohio this year. See the National Science Bowl site for more information.brownboy79 wrote:Does Kentucky send someone for this? Because this is the first I've heard of National Science Bowl.

What did you think about Regionals?
Did you think the questions were hard at Regionals?
I noticed that there are repeat champions-- I guess that shows some validity?
I was, honestly, surprised at our teams's success. We are all freshmen and stepped away with the regional.
Did your scores go down considerably from Round Robin to Double Elimination?
Also, was anyone here in Middle School NSB? It would be neat to hook up again.
Any tips or advice would be appreciated.
Do the champions score over 200/game at Nationals?
