I am proud to announce the Motor City Shooutout.

This is a PACE-affiliated LCQ event. Entry Fee is as follows...

First Team $85

Second Team $75

Additional Teams $65

Buzzer Discount -$10 (at least 8 working buzzers)

Any team that qualifies for the MSU State Championship Tournament also qualifies for -$5 discount along with any school from Mega Conference QuizBowl, UM-Flint's High School Challenge, and NMU TV 13's High School Bowl

At this current moment no cap has been set.

Unfortunately, that is the weekend of the Ohio Academic Competition (OAC) State Tournament, and nobody will know if they have qualified until the weekend before... so you probably will pull few to no teams from Ohio. Sorry Kirk.

I still have no teams. Is this a format issue or a date issue. Any coaches in the Michigan please respond. I may cancel, byt for now it is still a go.

Hello. I am the captain for East Lansing, and our team would be very interested in attending. I'll have to talk to our coach this weekend, but, if all goes well, you can expect an e-mail from him sometime during the next week.

Unfortunetly it looked like I did not have enough teams. So I told m staff I was going to cancel. Now I may have had just barely enough, however, I cannot get the staff. So, I am definately going to have to cancel.

For the record, I would have only had these teams...

East Lansing (1)
Troy (1)
DCC (2?)
DCD (2?)
Hillsdale Academy
Houghton (?)
Sturgis
Ovid Elsie (1?)

At most that would have been 10.

I feel like a broken record, as I post the same thing for the third Midwest PACE tournament to be cancelled (after Northwestern and Minnesota):

The PACE tourney at Culver Academies on May 13 is still happening. On Saturday, May 12 we will also host the NAQT Midwest Championship featuring NAQT IS#66, in case you want to make a weekend of it. Check out the appropriate threads for more details or contact me at blessmp [at] culver [dot] org.
