UPDATE: NAQT's website is up!

Post by saskwatch1991 »

Sorry to bother you guys and your discussion, but does anyone have any clue what happened to the naqt website, I don't know if it's me or what but I can't get on the website, if it is a larger problem than just me, does anyone know what it is?

You're not crazy. Their site does indeed seem to be down.

I hope it's so they put a new design up.

But not some Web 2.0 crap, whatever that means.

I've noticed that the site goes down for a half-day every so often.

If it's not Web 2.0, I don't want it on my Internet.

There were some nasty storms in the Twin Cities area over the weekend, knocking out power in various places (apparently also affecting NAQT's servers). The StarTribune says some areas may not have power restored until tomorrow.

I heard they were bought out by an "unnamed quizbowl mogul".

For those complaining about coming to Chicago ..... maybe a choice of three sites next year ......

If that were the case, my respect and hope for quiz bowl would diminish at a startling speed

I got an email from R. It was the power outage, but it should be okay now or soon.

NAQT website is back online

Post by rhentzel »

Players and Coaches --

The Friday night thunderstorms in the Twin Cities did, in fact, knock out power to NAQT's servers until about 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. I believe that all of our systems (web, e-mail, database, etc.) are now up and functional so I invite you to browse our site as much as you like. :-)

Similarly, if you sent any e-mail to naqt.com addresses since last Friday, there's a good chance that it won't get through, so please send it again.

I apologize to those inconvenience by this and look forward to a storm-free rest of the year . . .
