I want to personally congratulate all teams who placed and all individuals who won awards. It was a great day of competition.
I also would like to thank all of the volunteer readers and scorekeepers, especially those coaches who I was able to pull away from their team to fill my reader void.
More thoughts to follow, dinner is here.

Wow. I am amazed. Good job Nathan. You PWNed us at DACQ, and you can still do it in Ohio. Awesome work. BTW, does your school not have a quizbowl team?
P.S. I played against you at DACQ 7 (?) times (centennial HS, MD). The score is 3-4 (?) favoring you. Until next time, that is...........

Re: RESULTS: 2008 NAQT Ohio State Tournament
Thanks Fred.
To answer the other question, Nathan's school does have a team. Unfortunately, their coach is horribly busy with her family, so she does not take them to many tournaments. Luckily, most TDs have been willing to let Nathan play unaffiliated (most-often as a solo team). The fact he placed 3rd today playing solo is just a testament to his abilities as a player, and I have no doubt he will continue to improve and will easily be the best player in Ohio next year as a senior.

Additionally, the rest of his team (they had a B team with... over 4 people...) does not usually play with him anyway, I guess.BobGHHS wrote:Thanks Fred.
