Yes, "Seven Men Against Thebes" would be acceptable in ACF since that's a perfectly acceptable way to translate the Greek title.

Today, at practice, on Maryland Fall 07:

Given: Gundam Wing
Answer: Battle of Lepanto

That's what happens when one walks into practice mid-tossup after a teammate guesses "...that robot fight..."

From practice

Answer: Mahabharata
Me: The Twilight Zone

The lead-in (of which I flaked out on the pronoun) was talking about a guy who is rewarded for refusing to enter heaven without his dog. This is the exact plot of the Twilight Zone episode "The Hunt." Wikipedia claims the episode "resembles" the Mahabharata, so I feel somewhat vindicated.

I didn't see the question, but this is almost certainly not a bad neg. There are a lot of theories claiming the Hebrews were Sea Peoples, especially considering the presence of a group known as "Habiru" within the Sea Peoples.

This was a great neg if the sea people in question were, or at least partially were, from South Park, where their civilization is notably ended by religious wars and suicide bombings.
