North Myrtle Beach Invatational (3/14/09/) Very Preliminary

Post by ... and the chaos of Mexican modernity »

North Myrtle Beach High School will be hosting the North Myrtle Beach Invatational during the second week of March. We most likely will be using an NAQT set , and confirmation for which set will be e-mailed to me and my coach by Hentzel. All I know is that teams will have to provide thier own buzzers, and we (North Myrtle Beach) will be playing at this tournament. More announcements will be posted as more information comes through.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but almost all of the high schools in the Charleston area will be going to the Quest tournament at Trident Technical College that day. Schools in our area treat it like the Super Bowl, and nobody will come from our area.

Also, all the big name teams will be in Washington for the Weekend of Quiz Bowl, so you won't get any of those teams.

It's a good idea for a tournament, but it should be moved to another date, so that you can get more teams.

Zach,

If the date holds up, definitely count us in. Definitely get the word out to the other schools in the district, as well as Florence and Georgetown counties. There's not a lot of tournaments to travel to on this side of the state, so this might spark some interest.

Due to unforeseen circumstances this tournament date has been changed to April 18th. This will be the date that is set in stone, and the set that we will be using is NAQT IS-82A.

Isn't that the same date as USC Spring?
