PACE is now accepting applications for wildcard bids
PACE is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for wildcard bids to the NSC!
Wild-card qualification will now be supervised by Brian Saxton. Teams from regions without easily accessible affiliated tournaments and teams who repeatedly finished just below the qualification zone in regions with many qualifying teams are encouraged to apply for wild-card bids. We will also accept wild-card bids from “B” and “C” teams representing schools whose “A” teams qualified automatically, but such bids are less likely to be accepted than the other two types. If you'd like to apply for a wildcard bid, please fill out this form:
http://silby.wufoo.com/forms/2009-nsc-w ... plication/
PACE will consider your application as soon as possible and notify you of the results. If your team is granted a wildcard bid, you may register as soon as you receive the e-mail confirming that your application was approved.
We're excited to have the biggest and best field yet for the NSC this year! Again, if you're interested in attending the NSC and haven't qualified via a tournament, please take the time to apply.

Re: PACE is now accepting applications for wildcard bids
I sent an e-mail to Brian on the 1st with all our info, and he said that we probably wouldn't have to fill out an application since i had a pretty detailed e-mail with everything in it already.
But if you'd like us to, i'd be more than happy to do it anyway.

Don't worry about it -- if we have specific questions for you we'll ask.Caesar Rodney HS wrote:I sent an e-mail to Brian on the 1st with all our info, and he said that we probably wouldn't have to fill out an application since i had a pretty detailed e-mail with everything in it already.

I had heard the first round would be announced yesterday, but I can find no evidence of this happening. Is there any word on when they will be released?

Isaac, i was curious too so i sent Brian an e-mail yesterday... he said that while they were busy with WoQ over the weekend, "we should have the word for you by Tuesday."
So, we'll see. My fingers are crossed.

Well, so much for that. I guess we have to sit around a little while longer still.Caesar Rodney HS wrote:Isaac, i was curious too so i sent Brian an e-mail yesterday... he said that while they were busy with WoQ over the weekend, "we should have the word for you by Tuesday."

We would love to register but still have not gotten word one way or the other whether we are a wildcard or not.

An email I sent to you last week wrote:Hello:
I am pleased to inform you that PACE has accepted your bid to enter the 2009 NSC. I’ll be contacting you shortly with more particulars but I wanted to give you the good news as soon as possible.
I look forward to seeing you at the NSC!

My apologies. Evidently, I am bad at reading subject lines.
