I apologize for not having notified you of this earlier, Dwight, but Ming has told me he can no longer make this event.
Also, Virginia needs to join the fray.

Virginia's bid ought to be coming soon; George asked us for commitments by today.

We submitted a bid for this, but like we need to wait by April 8th to determine if the bid is accepted.

George submitted this bid and said he was still waiting for confirmation from JR and Tommy...I haven't heard from him on whether they're actually coming.

I apparently sent my update on this to myself. It should now be en route to Dwight.

This is a reminder that HSAPQ is still accepting bids for states that have not yet had an approved bid.

Registering is a two-step process:
1. Anyone affiliated with quizbowl in the state (player, coach, parent, educator) can bid to send a team of four players and up to two alternates. HSAPQ will then perform a cursory check to (as best it can) verify that all players do attend high school in the state the bid is from. HSAPQ will also evaluate the strength of potential teams should multiple bids from the same state be sent.

2. Once the bid to attend NASAT is approved, I will send an official NASAT Registration Form to the person who sends in the bid. Teams with approved bids are not beholden to attend NASAT and must officially register to be counted as attending NASAT.

Have you received NY's registration form and check? I mailed it on Saturday. Are the five bolded teams the only ones to have registered so far?

We did get everything. The (now seven) bolded teams are the ones that have sent in the entrance fee.

If you are a member of one of the non-bolded teams, we would really like to know whether or not your team is committed to coming. I have sent an e-mail out to the team contacts regarding registration materials we have yet to receive, but sometimes posting on this board garners faster responses than waiting for one person to check e-mail.

I should probably note that Team VA's lineup has changed to Stephen Eltinge (TJ '11) and Greg Tito, Eric Tyler, and myself, all seniors at Maggie Walker.

Registration for the 2010 NASAT is now closed at 16 teams. Further information about the tournament can be found in Eric Douglass's post found on this page.

A full schedule has been sent to a team contact for every team except California. If you are on Team California and you are reading this please send me an e-mail so I can send you the relevant information.
