Southeastern Quizbowl Newsletter

Post by Ethnic history of the Vilnius region » Thu Aug 12, 2010 1:16 pm

I'm going to e-mail the first issue of the third year of the Southeastern Quizbowl Newsletter in the coming weeks. I'm going to send it out on a monthish basis until the end of the Spring semester. I hope to be a little more consistent in that regard than last season. The newsletter basically consists of announcements and results that you'll see on this board along with some helpful links. I cover academic quizbowl events in South Carolina, parts of Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Mississippi. Of course, people outside those states may subscribe as well, and teams in Florida, NC, and Virginia who venture into the above states might find it useful. If interested, contact me at ericd25 at hotmail dot com. Likewise, if you are a subscriber and wish to unsubscribe, contact me about that too.

Also, this newsletter exclusively covers college events, as there are probably too many high school events in the Southeast for one newsletter. Of course, high school players and teams are generally welcome at college events, and high school coaches and players are welcome to subscribe to the newsletter.

I sent out the first issue of the newsletter just now. If anyone who e-mailed me about getting on the list didn't get it, let me know. Also, if anyone else wants to get on the mailing list, post here or contact me at ericd25 at hotmail dot com. Thanks!

Since I just received a question on this, I thought I would clarify for the board: my newsletter tries to cover all academic college events in the Southeast, including community college events. Also, anyone, including high school players and coaches, unaffiliated folks, and people who are outside the region may subscribe.

I've sent it out. Anyone else who wants it or anyone who didn't get it for some reason, let me know and I'll send it to you. Also, pretty much everything in the newsletter is from the message boards, so definitely monitor the boards regularly for the latest info.
