2013 NAQT SCT host call

Sectional Championship Tournaments (SCTs) must be held on the weekend of February 8-10, 2013 (Friday-Sunday). Interested institutions should bid on the open host calls listed on NAQT's website. The deadline for submitting a bid is September 30, 2012.

Expect announcements within the next two weeks or so (there are some regions with few or no bids, so we're still working on lining up more hosts).

Is there a reason that regions that have bids can't be announced now if a decision is ready?

Not to unduly constrain NAQT and its staff (I understand this is a busy time of year, and that the logistics of site host announcements are multi-factorial and multilateral, and that some people are probably not getting back to NAQT) but could we please have a revised deadline for site announcements? Or alternatively, a general statement on how many regions remain to be determined? With respect, this tournament is now less than 3 months away.

Will there be a SCT in Region 10? I realize it's tough to get these things arranged over Christmas break, but I'm trying to make some travel plans for February and would love to know as soon as possible, so I know if I can staff or play this.

Yes, there will be a Region 10 SCT. Host to be announced as soon as we can confirm details.
