Louisiana Open at ULL (6/14/14 and 6/15/14)

UL Lafayette will host a Summer mirror of Penn Bowl on Saturday June 14th, 2014. The original announcement can be found here.

On Sunday June 15th, we will host a mirror of the Ohio Trash Tournament (from December).

4/4 Literature (1/1 World and Other)
4/4 History
4/4 Science (1/1 Biology, 1/1 Chemistry, 1/1 Physics, 1/1 Math and Other)
3/3 Arts
3/3 RMP
1/1 SS
1/1 Geography, CE, and Other

Fee
$40 per team. This is only to cover the mirroring fees.

Eligibility
Both tournaments are open to high school players, college players, former college players, etc.

Logistics
The tournaments will take place on the campus of UL Lafayette. All other logistical information (parking, start time, building) will be updated as the date approaches.

Matt already knows this, but I figured I'd post it here for the world to see. Tulane is bringing 1-2 teams' worth of people to this, probably both days.

This happened over the weekend. Was fun. I'm sure stats will be posted at some point in the future for Penn Bowl and trash. The trash finals were of course the pinnacle of the weekend.

This tournament was a lot of fun. Many thanks to Matt et al. for a very well-run tournament!

Team Jake (Jake Sundberg, Matt Berry) finished Saturday with a 7-1 record to win the the academic portion of the Louisiana Open. Team Ryan (Ryan McLaren, Alec Stewart, Billy Benezech) defeated Team Matt (Matt Berry, Kevin Marshall) in a one-game final to win Sunday's trash tournament.

Thanks to everyone who participated this weekend, and thanks to the ULL team for letting us host this event there. Also, I'd like to thank Jeff Wichers and Nick Collins for serving as full-time staffers for Saturday and Sunday respectively. Lastly, thanks go out to the Penn team for a solid Penn Bowl set, and to Bob Kilner et al. for an enjoyable trash set.
