Additionally, for all who are interested, we will be running SHAWARMA in the evening after Penn Bowl! And it's going to be super awesome!

Toronto is going to be sending one team. We'll have 1 set of buzzers and there will be a total of three staffers (Huma Zafar, Andrew Yim, and myself) split between us and Waterloo. We're also interested in playing SHWARMA and eating at the Carleton buffet.

I am sorry to say that McMaster will be unable to field the team we were initially planning on attending with due to scheduling conflicts. We still wish you the best of luck on the tournament though!

Tournament Logistics:
Time
This tournament is scheduled to begin at 9:00am SHARP. As such, it is ESSENTIAL that all teams arrive between 8:15am and 8:45am. We need to make sure all buzzers are set up and all the pre-tournament instructions are discussed before the tournament begins, so you need to make sure that all players are arriving well ahead of the scheduled start time. Any teams that arrive after 8:45am run the risk of being forced to forfeit games or be unable to participate fully in the tournament.
Location
This tournament will be taking place in Carleton's Residence Commons building (more commonly known as Res Com, R.C., or C.O.). This is the same location that we hosted our novice tournament in. Our Control Room will be located at RESIDENCE COMMONS 214. To get to the room, simply walk into the building's main entrance (the one located on Campus Ave.), walk up the stairs to the second floor, walk into the buildings main foyer, then head down the hallway on your right (near the bathrooms and vending machines). Don't worry, there will also be Carleton students spread out to help find you and guide you to the room. See the map further down in this email for more information.
Transportation
For teams driving to campus, I recommend parking in P-6 or P-18 (the parking garage) at the north end of campus. Both are only $4 for the day and are the closest major parking lots to the Residence Commons building. From there, simply walk down Campus Ave. until you get to the Residence Commons entrance. This is outlined on the map below.
For teams/players coming by public transit, you can take the 4, 7, 111, or 129 bus routes to get to campus. The closest stop to the Residence Commons building is CAMPUS / COMMONS. You can also take the O-Train to the Carleton stop. These are outlined on the map below.
Lunch
The Residence Commons building contains Carleton's Fresh Food Company, a buffet style cafeteria. The Fresh Food Company has vegetarian/vegan/halal/kosher/gluten-free meal options, as well as many other foods too. It is a nut free facility. I highly recommend that all teams eat there for lunch. Lunch will cost $9.73 per person. Staffers, your lunch will be paid for.
