In the interest of having silly things to read the weekend of ICT, everyone should write a packet of (hopefully embarrassing) pop culture things that they liked in high school or that remind them of junior high/high school even if they didn't like them. There's no distribution, but try to keep things roughly balanced and don't just write 30 music questions (unless you really want to).

I can't make it to ICT but will absolutely write a packet for this.

Only if you won't be there to read it yourself. I do want them all at some point though so I can distribute them for the enjoyment of people who won't be at ICT.

When would you want this in advance? I'm not going to be at ICT but I might be able to rig something. Is there a particular packet length you want?

I'm high school class of '08, btw.

1) The day before ICT, I suppose, and 2) however many questions you end up writing.

I wrote mine on things I liked in middle school and earlier.

Since there are at least 10+ packets "promised" plus the fact probably even more people want to play, some logistics might be helpful, even if they aren't posted until Friday. We (probably?) don't need a team-based schedule format for this, but a full-on shootout might be improbable as well.

That's a good point. Since there will probably be more people than can fit in one hotel room, why don't folks send their packets to me by Friday night and I'll get them posted here during the day on Saturday. That way, folks can organize their own mini-tournaments at the hotel or play the packets on their drive home.

I'm currently working on what I have dubbed "Alex Wallace's Nifty Nostalgia Packet" with the intention of having twenty tossups done by this Friday.

I don't know how many questions I'll end up having but I'll write a packet and email it (won't be at ICT).

I will probably end up having a packet of 10-ish tossups for this.

Due to time constraints, Alex Wallace's Nifty Nostalgia Packet will only be ten tossups. It will be sent to Ms. Grames shortly.

I'm super sick so my packet will be late or MIA.

So I won't be able to write a packet for this because I've been working on a 20 packet high school set. Where will this be played at ICT? I'd be happy to read some of these packets to compensate for me not having written one.

I sent in my packet to Ms. Grames earlier today.

I just sent a 10-question packet. Hopefully the content is tolerable.

Just submitted 8 questions. Someone let me know when this is going to be played.

This was a lot of fun (especially the Scheeler and Grames packets). Thanks everyone for writing!

Mike, we should just get our packets done in time for NSC. We can do this again and see how well the young'uns do on stuff that came out about the time they were born.
