I'm probably going to this site and am currently a free agent. Shoot me a message if you want to team up.

EDIT: Looks like I'm teaming up with Jakob Myers and Andrew Wang for this. We tentatively have a fourth as well but I'll wait for them to confirm that they can actually go before I let the cat out of the bag.

Same except less competitive.

I'd like to go to this, if I can get the time off. Will you be mirroring side events?

I am looking for a team, but there's a big IF if I can make this (my mom's having surgery around this time, but the date isn't finalized yet).

Seems perfectly possible to run at least Scattegories 2!

Same except even less competitive (and also a high schooler).

First side event announced: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=20791

We'll also likely be running at least two more (Scattergories 2, Aidan's architecture tournament).

I've just announced a visual geography tournament, and I'd love to run it Saturday night either before or after Scattergories 2 for anyone who's interested.

Andrew the Hart and I are looking for teammates for the main event.

Update: Our teammates are both named R.R.

Michigan can only bring 6 people, so me and Kazuma Shimanaka are looking for two teammates to join "Michigan B", preferably who know literature/arts but whatever. PM or email me if you're interested.

Edit: We're playing with Conner Reynolds and Harris Bunker.

I'm still available, in case anyone is looking for another player.
I play science.

Pick Geoffrey!

Also, side event update: I believe the current plan is to run Scattergories Saturday night and architecture Sunday after ACRONYM.

It should probably be mentioned that signups for both Scattergories and ACRONYM can be found in this spreadsheet.

Also, I'd like to run Entirely Real Landscapes after Scattergories if a) there's no widespread objection to it and b) Minnesota can provide one or more rooms with a projector. I know that will be rather late but the tournament will probably have 5-6 visual packets so it shouldn't take too long.

I'm down like a clown for some real landscapes.

Looking for a teammate for architecture if that's being run as doubles, I'm not sure.

Probably just gonna be a shootout, perhaps with promotion/relegation depending on the field.

The projector seems doable; time will probably be the bigger issue, given the campus staff's increasing tendency to push us out of rooms.

Maybe if you just do a shootout at lunch?

Like several people before me, I'm going to put out a broad call for teammates and express my excitement for Entirely Real Landscapes. For the main tournament, I'd prefer people who know science and lit, but I'd be happy to play with anyone.

I'm not sure if lunch is long enough for that, especially since eating is also a thing people want to do at lunch, but I'm certainly open to doing, say, 2 packets at lunch and 3 at the end of the day, or something like that, if that would be a better time schedule for the hosts.

There are currently 5-ish teams on the signup spreadsheet for Scattegories. If enough people don't materialize for 6 teams, I'll request that people consolidate into 4 teams, some of which will have a fifth player.

Me, Kazuma, and Harris are looking for a fourth since Conner can't make it. Lit knowledge preferred, but really any fourth player would be good.

I don't know if this will cause any issues for quizbowlers, but there is a road closure on I-35W this weekend to be aware of.

Also, Jakob and I are staying at a hotel near the airport and need a ride Saturday morning. If anyone could pick either of us on the way to UMN Saturday morning, that would be super helpful. We are flying in Friday morning. Please PM me ASAP if you can help out. Much appreciated.

If nothing works out, airport - blegen hall on the light rail is pretty straightforward

Looks like there is a perfect number of people for 4 teams of 5. The easiest thing would be for the two teams that currently have two people to combine, and then for each of the free agents to join one of the teams, but I'll let people decide how they want to arrange themselves.

They'd best sign up then! (I see that one more person has since signed up - so we'll have enough for six teams if a couple more people join, which seems plausible.)

I also did not receive the e-mail, so that might not have actually happened. Hopefully someone will clarify if the tournament is in Blegen or Folwell as those buildings are not near each other.

In addition to this, because of bad weather, Conor Thompson also can't make it so it's just me and Kazuma on our team right now. We would definitely appreciate another player or two. PM me if interested. :)

Scattergories 2 finished in a tie between Auroni/Halle/Ramapriya and Mike/Andrew/Tamara/Shan. The final will be played tomorrow (?).

Wow, our team was really good at powering things (25 powers, more than all the other teams combined). By himself, Shan had more powers than any other single team and Tamara had the same amount as any other single team.
