COLLEGE (1/4/18, Skypeland)
Posted: Fri Dec 29, 2017 1:20 pm
Hiya! I already posted the following to the Facebook-qb-sphere but I was told by some others that the forums might appreciate this packet:
Bard would like to announce our first "fun" packet: COLLEGE (Certain Overrated Locations for Learning Everything Generally and Expensively). Most questions will be of the "this college or university" type, but there will also be some common links. Take a look at the distro, which is subject to change/wackyfication (note: there will be only one 20/20 packet):
7/7 Northeastern (ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, PA, MD, DE, DC)
7/7 Not Northeastern
6/6 Common Links/Fun Grab Bag Things That I Like
There will be two dates for competition, meant to coincide with the RD deadline: January 3rd at 9:00pm EST will be open only to HS Seniors, for thematic appropriateness. January 4th at 9:00pm EST will be open to young'uns and old'uns alike. Signup on this Google Sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
In order to inspire greater interest, I am spicing up the prizes a bit:
1st Place: A small bottle of Poland Spring™ water, and the 2nd and 3rd place prizes.
2nd Place: A short avant-garde melodica solo (Lossless .FLAC), and the 3rd place prize.
3rd Place: List of interesting places to eat lunch in Queens, done in yellow Comic Sans.
Participation prize: a low res .jpg of a handshake
Best,
Max
