2019 New York SCT

On behalf of the quiz bowl club at Colgate, I am pleased to announce that the 2019 New York SCT will be held February, 9, 2019 on the campus of Colgate University. More details will follow about the exact building(s) being used to hold the tournament.

Fees:
Base fees: $135 for the first team from a school; $110 for second and subsequent teams.

Discounts:
$10 discount per working buzzer system (must accommodate at least eight players
$30 discount for an experienced moderator (additional moderators may generate additional discounts at the tournament director's discretion)
$5 discount per scorekeeper (max. 2)
$20 discount (per team) for schools new to quiz bowl (no SCT experience in 2017 or 2018)
$35 discount (per team) for schools with no previous SCT history
$10 discount (per team) for schools bringing more that what they brought to an SCT last year. For instance, if you brought two teams to an SCT last year, a third team would get the 'increased participation' discount. So would a fourth, fifth, etc. Not applicable to first time schools.
$15 discount for super early registration (prior to Jan 21)
$10 discount for very early registration (prior to Jan. 28)
$5 discount for early registration (prior to Feb.4)

Minimum fee: $50

Teams may have the option of adding lunch into the tournament fee. More on this later.

We are also planning on tournament t-shirts. Design and cost TBA.

Schools may pay by cash or check at the door. Schools may also, free of charge, opt to be billed. Post tournament billing options can include invoiced billing or credit card payments.
