Penn Bowl 2019 at Queen's University

The Queen's University Trivia Club is happy to announce the Canadian mirror of Penn Bowl on October 26, 2019 in Kingston, Ontario. More information about Penn Bowl can be found in the main announcement (https://hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=22723). This site will be running semi-open, which means that players who aren't associated with a university are allowed to play this tournament, but they may only play on a team with other players not associated with a school. If a prospective player is associated with a school, they MUST play for that school.
Location and Logistics
Please arrive at 9:30 for a 10:00 AM start. The later start time is to better accommodate travellers from out of town. The tournament will be hosted on the bottom floor of Jeffery Hall (48 University Ave, Kingston, ON K7L 3N8). There is a parking lot on the southeast corner of Union and Albert Streets.
Registration and Fees
Please email me at [email protected] to register, with team name, number, staff you're bringing and buzzers.
The fee schedule is the following:
Base fee: $135
Buzzer discount: -$10
Staff discount: -$10
Distance discount (over 200 km one-way, per Google Maps): -$10
Minimum fee: $50
All figures are in Canadian dollars.
Fees are payable in cash, cheque (made out to "Queen's University Quiz Team") or by e-transfer.
Additionally, to help with turnout, there will be a 10$ shorthanded discount for each team per missing player.
