Next thing you know, Carl Kassel's going to die. He's like 73. That's going to suck.

I want to play Wait Wait Don't Tell Me just to get his voice recording on my answer machine. Or do they not do that anymore?

I think they still give those away and that would be a cool prize.

Future thread idea: people whose voice you would like on your answering machine.

It was a real tribute but it came two weeks after the whole Vince McMahon got blown up thing which is pretty :w-hat:

But if Benoit actually killed his wife and kid then screw him

Also I am sad about Rod Beck :(

Well yeah... he's a WWE wrestler. Doesn't mean it had anything to do with it, although it may have.

As sad as murder-suicides are, I can't help but point out that this is a tribute thread to someone whose entire noteworthiness consists of being part of a long-running soap opera, except that instead of endless romantic entanglements, the plot consisted of pretending to punch people in the face.

This probably shouldn't be a tribute thread now that they've determined Benoit killed his wife and kid. Regardless of the thread's name (which was posted before anyone really knew what happened in this case), I don't think anyone posting in this thread is interested in paying tribute to Chris Benoit at this point.

1) It isn't just a Chris Benoit thread, it was also initiated by Rod Beck, Bob Evans, and Mister Wizard. It was intended as a 'I am sad person X died, this is why he's awesome.'

2) Benoit was successful with his murders, so I suppose you can still say he was awesome at that

I hated that restaurant. One time I was the only customer in there, and it was still slow as molasses in January in Boston.

Coincidentally, molasses in Boston in January can flow fast enough to kill 21 people and injure 150 more.

And thus, there was 21 less 'tards left in the world. I did a report on this in 6th grade that included a reenactment. After calling my mom to get me a new set of clothes, my teacher then failed me for my "graphic display."

Those aborted babies are most likely trying to gum on his delicious hamburgers that he makes for them every day while they wait on the inventor of the Frostee Float to kick it for dessert.

I could really go for some Wendy's right now. Too bad all the STL ones got shut down due to the franchisor going bankrupt.

I don't think it has anything to do with medicine or healthy living .... the impressive thing is that one of the several million people who wanted this guy dead didn't pop a several caps in his buttocks. It's much like the miracle that is Uncle Fidel ...... its a miracle that he's made it this long with the disidents in Florida, the CIA, the reverse vampires, the saucer people, and the Rand Corporation all waiting in line to do something to shorten his life.
