UC Berkeley Quiz Bowl is proud to announce that we shall host SCT on February 9, 2008. Packets will, of course, be NAQT format with timed rounds. The tournament will take place at Berkeley, with room information to follow.
Fees:
$100 base team fee, with each additional team paying $10 less.
-$10 per working buzzer or extra time clock
Eligibility: SCT is divided between Divisions I and II. Only undergrads who haven't played longer than four years and haven't qualified for ICT before are eligible for Div II. But you knew that.

4 UCLA (1-11)
Division II

To let off some steam after being frustrated all day yesterday, before full stats go up: UCLA's only win was also Stanford B's only loss. We finished with (according to my unofficial stats) 263.3 PP20H, 2.6 powers per 20 tossups, and a BC of 17.75, yet finished 4-8. UCLA may well be the best 1-win team in the history of SCT, and I'd venture to guess we put up some of the best numbers ever for a .333 team.
I don't know whose bright idea it was to put Peter and Gaius in the same room, but I'd like to thank Matt Bruce for arranging to switch them with Jeff and Larissa before somebody in D1 blew a gasket.
