Swarthmore College is pleased to announce that we will be hosting GARBAGE on our campus on the Sunday after ACF Regionals. Since this tournament is packet submission, consult the original GARBAGE thread (viewtopic.php?f=19&t=6806) for details. To register, please email me at [email protected].

As this is probably about as close as a quizbowl tournament will ever get to where I'm currently living, I'm interested in getting a team together for this, ideally submitting a packet by the next deadline. I've already written a few questions; if you're looking for free agents or if you're one yourself, post here or email me at bruss at triad dot rr dot com.

As I may have indicated, some Penn teams would definitely play this, certainly at least 1. Depending on who's playing, we probably wouldn't have to submit a packet, but I'm in trash-writing mode still, so I might put one together anyway.

Temple

Please let me know if you have already registered but do not appear on this list.

I want to thank Swarthmore for pulling off this tournament with two staff members for pretty much the entire day. Even though there were only four teams to speak of, I think I can say that I and the rest of the Penn team thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The difficulty was mostly on target and most of the questions were good. Of course I can point to a couple examples of horribly written questions, but these examples certainly constitute a small minority of the questions. Overall, I would say GARBAGE was a considerable success and I look forward to its iterations in the future. Hopefully, we can get some more teams to join the fun.

I would also like to agree that this was a wonderful tournament and by far the best trash tournament that I have attended. We had several good competitive games against Maryland and were in general pleased with the answer choices. Kudos also to Josh for running this tournament with very minimal staff and for getting us to finish 12 rounds at a reasonable time.

This tournament was a joy to play at. Josh should again be commended for his proficiency in efficiently and orderly management of this tournament despite the lack of staffers and other resources. Kudos also to Fred and the rest of the editors who provided an accessible and entertaining Trash set. I look forward to future incarnations.
