Hey, Eric Kwartler and I are looking for a teammate or two who wouldn't mind writing.

So we are going to run this in hotel rooms (numbers forthcoming) unless we find a better open space in the hotel after the tournament.

Also, I'm dropping the fee for free agents who didn't write a packet since there is only going to be 5 rounds, however you'll still need to find an open spot on a team, which may involve contributing to dinner's food bills or whatever.

Assuming we have at least one other buzzer with 10 slots, I'd be willing to increase the team size to a maximum of 5 people in order to encourage greater participation.

Tulane will be bringing a buzzer system with ten buzzers, so we can use that if you'd like.

Maryland's knots can probably be used for this. Also, I guess I might be looking for a spot on a team now, if anyone has an opening.

We at least have an opening for a fifth player, possibly a fourth if Billy doesn't rematerialize.

You have an opening for a fourth in any event, actually; after discussing at practice today, I won't be playing this tournament. I'll still try to help with the packet.

The artificial deadline has passed and I have received no packets yet. But I don't care. I'm just making a zip file. But, please write your packets so this event exists.

We have 16 tossups done. I will bring whatever state the packet is completed in when I leave tomorrow morning in a .txt file on a flash drive.

I completed the History subdivision just now, Dwight, so we should have at least the minimum at present.

So this is happening. There's a bracket that is of people who did write packets. They have individual live stats going on here. Bonus points are indicating superpower points.

The other bracket, of people who didn't write, are behind in terms of games. Also, they had a lot more error filled "score sheets", so they aren't getting real stats, but they will have placings. And stuff.

Matt Weiner's team wins the writers bracket.

Yale A wins the other bracket, Chris Ray and friends take second.

Per Chris, the 20s were listed as 10s and the extra 10 points were entered as bonus points.

So this was a lot of fun, and I just wanted to say that I enjoyed the questions, particularly the dream packet aimed at me (obviously) and the Weiner et al. packet. Thanks to all the writers and especially to Ray, Kevin, Jake, and Sean for teaming with me and putting up with my many negs.

EDIT: It turns out that it was indeed one of our team members doing something while I was not in the room. I apologize for the inconvenience.
