The Quizbowl Team at University of Washington is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the Northwest Mirror of TRASH Regionals on Sunday, November 22nd, 2009 at its campus in Seattle, WA. Note that this date is two weeks later than most of the other TRASH Regionals. This tournament is taking place the day after our mirror of THUNDER, a regular-difficulty academic tournament that is also open to all players. PRICING:

Base Fee per Team: $90
Discount for Second Team from Same School: -$10
Discount for Third Team from Same School: -$20
Buzzer Discount: -$5 per working buzzer system
Travel Discount: -$10 for each 200 miles traveled
Canada Discount: -$10 for each team entirely from Canada
Moderator Discount: -$20 for each competent moderator per school
Minimum Fee per Team: $50

ELIGIBILITY:

This tournament is open to all players.

LOCATION:

The tournament will take place in Denny Hall at the University of Washington. Registration will be from 9:00-9:30 AM. Further details will be sent to registered teams closer to the tournament date.

Well, I am working on that. My wife Jessica will definitely be playing at both tournaments. However, as far as anyone else is concerned, I won't know that until the Wednesday right before the tournaments, as we will have our first meeting then. At the very least, I would like to get a team ready for the Delta Burke mirror. I will keep you posted.

The SFU alums cleared the field to capture a victory. Some additional staffers showing up after lunch allowed us to split the UW teams up into two teams to avoid byes.
