The University of Louisville is interested in sending a few teams to the tournament. Is there a maximum number of entries per division?

Alabama A (12-0)
UT-Knoxville (7-5)
Alabama B (6-6)
Then Louisville A, Mississippi State, and Liberty

Div II:
Alabama C (11-1)
Louisville B (9-3)
Centre (6-6)
Alabama D (6-6)
Then College of Charleston and UNC-Charlotte

This. Every other sectional has stats available either here or on NAQT's website, even the others run by ACUI.

We got these stats from the host. They'll be posted to naqt.com as soon as we check on the one game that was missing the number of tossups heard.

Thanks for the link. I am curious about the playoff games. If they were not determining the sectional champion, what was the reason for having them?

So that everyone gets to play more quizbowl (and, among other things, more accurately determine stats for ICT qualification). It's possible to have situations (like this one) where the champion has already been determined by the prelim games.

(Summary for those who don't click through to stats: After double round robin among six teams, Alabama was 10-0 and Louisville was 7-3, so the bracketed playoff could not change the identity of the #1 team. It is obvious that other combinations of possible round robin results, like two 9-1 teams, would make playoffs very important indeed.)

I'm not sure, since we had played the required number of games already, and both Alabama A & C had de facto cleared the field.

EDIT: Superceded by post above me
