Jimenez Ad Hoc Event
Hi all,
Some quizbowlers in the DC area are putting together a low-key practice event some time in the next two weeks at UMD. If that's something that interests you, please put down your availability here so we know how much interest we have.

Re: Jimenez Ad Hoc Event
Yeah, high schoolers are welcome to come play.
It looks like there's a critical mass of interest for this, and a strong preference for the weekend of the 20th/21st, so I'll get something more specific up in the next couple days.

Re: Jimenez Ad Hoc Event
So for the main event, we will be playing NASAT on Sunday, July 21st, starting at 9, for a fee of $20 per player to cover the mirror fee and staff reimbursement. Please fill out this form to let us know if you're interested in playing or moderating. Use this spreadsheet to assemble teams for NASAT, which will be doubles. The form in the first link will count as your registration, since we very much need the information there to make this event work. Excited to see you all there!

Re: Jimenez Ad Hoc Event
As an update: we've got building access for Saturday as well. Several people I've spoken to are interested in playing Super ACRONYM on Saturday, so I expect we'll meet up for that, at 9 as well. Anybody interested can join and we'll select teams based on the number of interested parties. If you so desire, you can note down your interest in Super ACRONYM here.

Re: Jimenez Ad Hoc Event
With Saturday drawing near, could we get confirmation on when/where we will be meeting for the Super Acronym mirror/shootout?

Thanks again to everybody for coming; for those interested, Jordan's team had the best record at the end of the day, and stats (for the prelims) are posted here.
