Cookeville Spring Middle School Tournament @ Cookeville HS, Cookeville, TN, 3/28/20 (RAMS 2)

Post by smatson »

Cookeville High School (Cookeville, TN) will be hosting the Cookeville Spring Middle School Tournament on Saturday, March 28, 2020. Cookeville High School is located at 2335 N. Washington Ave., Cookeville, TN, 38501. This tournament will be run in conjunction with the Tennessee Singles/NASAT Qualification tournament.

We will be using Miami Valley's RAMS 2 set for this tournament.

Tentatively, we'll be capping the field at 8 teams. We may grow the field size if there's interest, help, and available rooms.

Payment
$60/team
-$5 per buzzer system per team
-$5 per staffer
-$5 per 100 miles traveled
-$20 new team discount (programs attending their first tournament)

Format
Tentatively, we will have an 8-team round robin. We will adjust tournament format as needed, but we anticipate that all teams will play at least 7 rounds. Rounds will consist of 20 tossups and 20 bonus questions with powers (15) and no negs.

Sign-in will begin at 8:00, the introductory meeting will begin at 8:45, and the first round will begin at 9:00. The tournament should end by 3:00.

The top three teams will receive trophies, and the top individual scorers will receive book prizes.

Food
We will not be serving lunch on site. There are a handful of restaurants within a short drive of the school, and we will allow ample time (1.5 hours) for teams to leave campus for lunch. Restaurants and approximate driving distances will be communicated via email closer to the event. We will not be serving breakfast. We will have a hospitality room for coaches and staff.
