ACT added a ton of extra dates so sadly, this is in fact what the SAT/ACT dates look like.

The ACT and SAT are not going to schedule around quizbowl. Why should quizbowl, which already has to worry about making sure it spaces out events enough to not conflict with an existing quizbowl tournament, have to worry about the ACT or SAT unless it's being done in the host's building?

Another point worth making is that due to test-optional policies many seniors might be choosing to not sit the ACT/SAT during quizbowl season. I know myself and many of my friends are not.

There are even cases where some schools, while hosting FRC tournaments (which are quite loud), still held the ACT/SAT in another part of their building. These organizations are trying to provide students with more opportunities to sit the examinations in light of COVID-19 cancelations but this doesn't necessarily mean that every single student everywhere is going to be sitting every examination session.

...because it hurts attendance quite severely to have them on the same day, particularly for the less-involved teams? I mean, that's a pretty simple answer: hosting on the same day as SATs/Science Olympiads/Big Debate Tournaments has cost me (not kidding in the slightest) 20 or more teams an event repeatedly, as coaches have repeatedly told me when they say they can't come to my events. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "We'd love to come, but my students can't make it, they have SATs/Science Olympiads/Model UN/Etc". Having 7 weekends in a row taken up by standardized testing is a huge pain for scheduling.

Hunter will be hosting a league-style tournament using the house-written Prison Bowl XIII set to be held on Zoom. The number of weeks will depend on the number of registered teams, but it will begin at the end of the week of October, 11th. Teams will be playing 1-2 games per week on any day from Thursday to Sunday, so this should not interfere with any of the previously announced Saturday tournaments.
