Earlybird may or may not happen this year. If we're able to secure the date soon, it will be on October 30. The issue is that we weren't able to register the date until late in the summer and the university also has new requirements regarding events featuring minors. I'll confirm the status of Earlybird sometime within the next two weeks.

Earlybird will not be occurring on October 30. We hope to host it, or a similar event, later this season.

Obviously “On-Time Bird” is the correct name here

I'll give my Southern Illinois thoughts.

The race for the 618 will be between Carbondale and Granite City [in AA], and should be comfortably be taken by Southwestern in A. Giifti Benti is a very good Lit/FA player for Carbondale, and should lead them to their typical level of success. Granite City graduate leading scorer Isaiah Wing from last year, but bring back his younger brother Jadon, as well as sci player Shayne Tieman and Lit specialist Lily Relleke. Southwestern will be led by Corbin Tutterow, and should be a near shoo-in for 1st team All-State in A.

I don't know much else, unfortunately. Alton lose the large majority of their scoring, but may still contend for an IHSA Regional. Perhaps Carterville or Marion could make a run for #2 in the Deep South. For Class A, I've heard that Alton Marquette have a good player who will be a sophomore this year, but I know nothing about them.

Barrington High School is proud to host "The Reinstein Varsity Tournament" on December 18th. This tournament is the latest iteration of what has historically been known as the "New Trier Varsity Tournament."

I could use a few more moderators at Solo on November 13 at Sandburg. Let me know if you are interested.
