VTACO Collegiate Novice @ Virginia Tech (CANCELLED)

Hello all!

Virginia Tech will be hosting a mirror of SUN on October 7, 2017 on our campus in Blacksburg, VA.

Location
The tournament will take place in the New Classroom Building located on 1455 Perry Street. A map of campus can be accessed here. There will be free parking directly next to the New Classroom Building.

Question Set
The tournament will run the Spring Undergraduate Novice set, given generously by Taylor Harvey. The distribution is as followed:

Distribution:
4/4 Lit [1/1 American, 1/1 Brit, 1/1 Euro, .5/.5 World .5/.5 Misc]
4/4 History [1.25/1.25 American, 1.5/1.5 Euro, 1.25/1.25 World and Ancient]
4/4 Science [ 1/1 Chem, 1/1 Physics, 1/1 Biology, 1/1 Other]
2.5/2.5 Fine Arts
1/1 Religion
1/1 Myth
1/1 Phil
1/1 Social Science
1/1 Trash
.5/.5 Geo

Registration
In order to register for this tournament, please fill out the following form and then contact Eric Chang (virginiatechquizbowl@gmail.com) to verify your registration. On the day of the tournament, check-in will begin at 8:00, and matches will be starting at 9:00.

Fees
Base fee: $15 per player
Working buzzer set: -$5
Competent Staffer: -$10
Traveling over 150 miles one-way: -$10
First-Time Player: $5 per player
Min fee: $5

Team Size and Eligibility
Teams are limited to six players, and only four can play at any one time. If a school wishes to field more than six players, they must register an additional team. Players with less than 2 years of collegiate quizbowl experience are eligible to compete. If there are any questions about a player's eligibility, please e-mail virginiatechquizbowl@gmail.com to ask. We reserve the right to accept/reject any players.

Format
The field will be initially capped at 16 teams, but we may expand this if resources allow. Teams registering after the field as been set will be placed on a waiting list.

Hey, could we get another field update here? We've got to figure out logistics for this soon and we would like to not just play our own team and one W&L team!

Gonna bump this again. If this tournament isn't happening, I'd love to update my team as soon as possible.
