FST Mirror at Columbia - 4/28/2018

Post by Urech hydantoin synthesis »

Columbia will be hosting a mirror of FST on Saturday, April 28, 2018. The set is roughly around ACF Fall-level, but there won't be any eligibility restrictions beyond those in ACF rules.

Doors will open at 8:00 AM in Hamilton Hall, with rounds scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM. Assuming a 12-team field, we'll do an 11-team round robin.

We will only charge a nominal entry fee of $10, but teams must bring a reader for every 2 teams they bring (rounded up, so 1 team = 1 reader and 3 teams = 2 readers). Teams that bring a buzzer will have that entry fee waived entirely.

Due to room reservation limitations, the field is limited to 12 teams for now. To register, please email [email protected] with the number of teams you're bringing, the names and emails of the reader(s) you're bringing, and how many buzzers you're bringing.

Registered teams:

Columbia (3)
Princeton (2)
NYU (2)
Johns Hopkins (1)
Yale (1)
Amherst (1)
Rutgers (2)

Happy to staff this, though I believe NYU will likely be claiming me as one of their staffers.

We'll probably be doing what Michael said. If you're running short on staffers, Harrison Hsu said he can be one of last resort (but he has to come up from Weehawken, so we should try to exhaust all options). It doesn't seem that other people at NYU are available.

Also, we'll be dropping to one team.

We still have not received the $400 in mirror fees for this tournament. Why?
