Early Fall Tournament @ UNC Chapel Hill (10/5/19)

Hello, everyone! The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will be hosting a mirror of the 2019 Early Fall Tournament, a medium difficulty set, on October 5th, 2019. More information about the set can be found here.

LOCATION/SCHEDULE: The tournament will be held at Greenlaw Hall and Bingham Hall. Registration will be in Bingham 103 starting at 8:00 AM, and we will have an opening meeting at 8:45. Rounds will begin as close to 9:00 as possible. On Saturday, the best options for parking are probably Venable Lot, Swain Lot, and parking in front of Davis Library, which can be accessed from Raleigh Street. FEES: The fees for the tournament are as follows:
$120: base fee per team
-$15: each experienced staffer your team can bring
-$5: each functional buzzer system your team can bring
-$10: for teams traveling over 200 miles one way, as determined by Google Maps
-$60: for teams from universities that have not participated in a non-novice collegiate tournament since September 1st, 2018

The minimum fee for each team is $40. Teams can pay using either cash or check on the day of the tournament; please make checks out to "UNC Chapel Hill Academic Team". If you will need an invoice, let us know and we will send one within a few days.

REGISTRATION: To register for the tournament, please email the following information to me at [email protected]:
1. School name
2. Number of teams you are registering
3. Number of buzzer systems and staffers you plan on bringing
4. A cell phone number for the day of the tournament

Our initial field cap will be 10 teams, but this will likely increase pending staffer availability. Once this cap is reached, additional teams will be added to a waitlist. Teams can have up to six players, but only four can play at one time. Schools planning to bring seven or more players should register a second team.

Based on staff estimates we've decided to expand the field one more time to 20 teams. Please note that this means that the tournament will now be held in Greenlaw and Bingham Halls, not Dey Hall.
