2019 EFT @ Maryland (10/5/2019)

I am pleased to announce that the University of Maryland will mirror the 2019 iteration of Early Fall Tournament (EFT) on Saturday, October 5th, 2019.

Question Set: EFT is a medium-difficulty tournament - more information can be found in the global announcement here.

Registration: To register for UMD's mirror, please send an email to umdquizbowl@gmail.com with all of the following information:
  1. School Name
  2. Number of Teams
  3. Numbers of Buzzers and Staffers
  4. Emergency Cell Phone Number
Teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. As of now we have a field cap of 16 teams - this cap may increase depending on room and staff availability. Please note the registration deadline is Monday, September 30th.

Logistics: The tournament will be held in Jimenez Hall at the University of Maryland.

Payment Information: Registration fees for this tournament are
  • $110 for each team
  • -$10 for each team-provided staffer + laptop
  • -$5 for each team-provided buzzer set
  • -$10 per 200 miles traveled one way to the University of Maryland as determined by Google Maps.
The minimum fee is $50 per team

Teams may pay before or on the day of the tournament with either cash or check. Please make all checks out to "Maryland Academic Quiz Team."

Please note the original post has had the field and that the registration deadline has changed to end of day Monday, September 30th.
