Thank you so much to all the teams that made the trek all the way to Arizona State for this tournament. UCSD defeated ASU in a 320 - 205 1 game final to win the tournament, so congratulations to UCSD! I apologize for all the unexpected hiccups during the tournament, but we still hope that everyone had fun!

Stats can be found here.

Thanks to Bryan, Joe, and ASU for running an efficient and enjoyable EFT!

The one thing that was not so enjoyable, however, was the fact that two teams left before the end of the tournament. This resulted in several teams only getting to play 7 meaningful games, since the 9 team schedule necessitated byes. Please please please do not do this! In addition to screwing up the schedule, it deprives teams of games that they paid for and expected to play. I understand that the travel times in our region can be very long (and college quizbowl is hard, especially for new teams), but if you sign up for a tournament you're expected to stay for its entirety, barring serious emergencies.
