EFT @ UMN (10/05/19)

The University of Minnesota Quizbowl Team is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the "Minnesota" Mirror of the 2019 Early Fall Tournament on October 5th, 2019. The tournament will take place in Bruininks Hall with registration starting at 8:30 AM and play beginning at 9:00 AM.

Registration
To register for the tournament, please email [email protected] with the number of teams you are bringing, and any discounts (found below) you wish to claim.

Fee Structure
Base Fee: $120 (per team)
Buzzer discount: -$5 per complete, functioning buzzer system
Travel discount: -$10 per 200 miles traveled one direction to the University of Minnesota

There will be a minimum fee of $50 per team.

We will be providing invoices the day before the tournament. Please make all checks out to the "University of Minnesota Quizbowl Team" on the day of the tournament.

Field
There will be an initial field cap of 12 teams.

Minnesota (>= 1)
"AAA" (1)
Grinnell (1)
Carleton (2)
UW Madison (1-2)
Mounds View (1)

The tournament will now be held in Bruininks Hall due to a room scheduling conflict.

Minnesota Periwinkle (Tora Husar, Davis Everson-Rose, Lucas Pham, Alex Miles, and Hayden Binger) defeated Carleton A (Jakob Boeye, Ben Koppel, Peter Blanchfield, and Mitchell Anderson) in a one-game final (330-200). Congratulations to both teams, and thank you to everyone who came! I'm sending Brian the stats for uploading.
