The University of Toronto Academic Trivia Club will be hosting a Discord mirror of NAQT's IS-195 on September 26, 2020, intended to replace the tournament we normally hold using the College Novice set they produce.

Logistics
The tournament will begin at 10:00am and will be held using on a to-be-determined Discord server. Webcams will be required for every player for whom this is feasible; we are still unsure about what the policy will be with regards to exceptions.

Fees and Registration
The fee for this tournament will be $20 (CAD) per player, with the following discounts:
-$10/team for each moderator with a computer, reliable internet and decent microphone quality
-$5/player if the player's school did not attend any tournaments in the 2018-19 school year
Minimum fee: $15/player

Eligibility
This tournament is open to teams that would normally play at a tournament held in Southern Ontario. If you have questions about whether or not you meet this requirement, please contact me at [email protected].

This tournament will have strict eligibility requirements as it is intended for novices currently enrolled in post-secondary institutions.

Any player who has never played quizbowl before (History Bowl and Reach for the Top do not count) is automatically eligible.

If a player has played quizbowl before, they are eligible so long as:
1. They have not scored more than PP20TUH of over 20 at a collegiate tournament (not including collegiate novice).
2. They have not received a PP20TUH of over 40 on an IS-A set or over 30 on an IS set (including collegiate novice).
3. They have played QB at a post-secondary institution for at most one academic year.
If you are not eligible per these restrictions but believe would still like to play Collegiate Novice, please email me at [email protected] and I will consider making an exception.

Registration and Payment
Please email [email protected] to register for this tournament. Payment will be by e-transfer and due by the start of the tournament.

Rules
This tournament will use 22/22 length packets and will follow NAQT rules.
