Tejas Raje: World & Other History, Geography + Current Events + Other Academic

Logistics: Aidan Leahy

The set will tentatively be available for mirrors starting on January 15th, 2022, with an open playtest mirror in mid-December. We intend for the majority of mirrors to be held in January and February, though the set will be available to mirror until May 31, 2022. At the moment, we are planning for in-person mirrors of this set, though that is of course subject to change. The mirror fee for the tournament will be $45 per team. Hosts will be expected to collect detailed stats, for which moderators will receive training to use the scoresheets and packets. More information on requesting mirrors will be announced soon.

A few updates:
  • Aidan Leahy has joined our team as a logistics coordinator!
  • The set is at 23% completion as of today, and I'm quite pleased with how it's shaping up so far.
  • Itamar has stepped down as co-head editor, and Tejas will be taking his place.
  • In the coming weeks, we will be releasing an open application to recruit editors in the following categories (list not finalized): Biology, Philosophy, Social Science, Mythology, Non Judeo-Christian Religion, Other Arts, and writers primarily in the above categories and the following: Chemistry, Physics, Other Science.
EDIT: Info about applications can be found here!

A distributional update:
  • Mythology will be changed to 0.5/0.5, primarily to make room for more other academic and Geo/CE questions
  • Other Academic will be approximately 0.7/0.7, and Geography and Current Events will be about 0.4/0.4 each
