Chicago Open Date Poll
We are excited to announce that we plan to host Chicago Open in person this year. The tentative plan is to host in Evanston as in 2018 and 2019, but this has yet to be confirmed and we will keep you updated regarding this. Non-Chicago-area options will be considered if necessary and we are open to offers from people/organizations who'd like to host quizbowl's premiere open event!
In the meantime, we're looking at three possible dates for the tournament and want to know when you'd be able to play the event! Please choose all of the options that work for you. Thanks!

Re: Chicago Open Date Poll
I have no interest in playing this event but your poll is set up to only allow one option.

By when do you expect to finalize the tournament date?

Re: Chicago Open Date Poll
Thanks everyone for voting!
Based on the results of the polls and internal discussions about which dates work best for us, we will be hosting this tournament on August 21st. This was a difficult decision -- we understand this is not the option that got the most votes and that some players will not be able to make this date. However, given the constraints of back-to-school timings, we prefer to avoid having this tournament on the weekend of the 28th, while the weekend of the 14th would be challenging given that ACF Nationals is the prior weekend.

We'll check in with Northwestern about room availability on that issue. For now, all signups are welcome.
