UKQB are pleased to announce the UK mirror of BHSU 2023 will be hosted by Sheffield on Saturday 20th May. This is an Open tournament with a difficulty level of "nationals-minus" putting it (roughly) on a par with CMST and ICT among the hardest quizbowl tournaments on the UK circuit.
The field cap is currently set at 6, but this may be increased to a maximum of 10 (due to room availability) subject to demand and mod availability. The sign-up form can be found here. There is also a 'free agents' thread on the discussion page of the Facebook event here.
The base fee per team for this tournament is £85, with a -£10 discount for bringing a (fully functional) buzzer set. Please indicate this on the sign-up form.
The venue for this tournament is Sheffield Students' Union, a 20-25 minute walk from Sheffield station or around 10 minutes on the tram. There are also (mostly paid) parking options nearby if required - please message/email the Tournament Director to discuss options.
I will be Tournament Director, please message or email me (fisher568 at hotmail dot co dot uk) with any questions.
