Just wanted to note that since this mirror was announced so late in the game, teams attending do not have to submit packets (but can still do so if they like).

Due to the inclement weather Arkansas is currently experiencing, Harding can't make this. Sorry about this last minute backing out, but we didn't know til this afternoon.

Congratulations to LASA for going 6-0 and winning a shortened version of the Penn Bowl mirror. Romero et al finished 4-1 while Louisiana finished 3-3 on the day.

Top four scorers were:

Chris Romero, 76.00 PPG
Benji Nguyen, LASA, 48.33 PPG
Jake Sundberg, Louisiana, 43.33 PPG
Thomas Littrell, LASA, 28.00 PPG

More will be available in the next two or three days.

How and why (beyond the obvious reasons) was it shortened?

Significant drive back for a good bit of the field. Additional reasoning need not be given, really.

Uh, how late did you start? If I were driving really far away for a tournament, I would think that it would be especially in my interest to get my money's worth of play, not the other way around.

I remember Jake mentioning that at least one team left the tournament extremely early (i.e. after round 2 or so). LASA drove from Austin, so they may have expressed concern over being in Lafayette past a certain point.

Yes, it was mainly down to us. We were trying to get out of Lafayette by 4 or 4.30, since the drive home is almost 7 hours and the guys all had homework to do this weekend (including studying for an essay for my class). Also, a couple of the other teams canceled in the days leading up to the tournament, so the field was a little smaller than anticipated. I'd like to thank Jake and ULL for hosting this, and hopefully they'll be able to make it to Austin for ACF Regionals.
