2018-19 Collegiate Post-Season Poll

Post by Smuttynose Island » Tue May 14, 2019 5:51 pm

Hey Everyone! With Naveed's permission, I am running this year's collegiate post-season poll.

Like in past years, there are a few ground rules. Your ballot should consist of 25 unique teams. Although you may not vote for high school teams, you may vote for B teams. If you would like to vote, please send your ballot to waddle2357[at]gmail[dot]com by June 1st, 2019. Please include "2018-19 Post-Season Poll" in the subject line.

To help with the construction of your ballot, here are the midseason poll results and final ACF Nationals and DI ICT placements here.

EDIT: Link to midseason and nationals results.

Could you include these teams'Nats and ICT placement in this thread? Thanks for doing this!

On another note, people should remember that Johns Hopkins was playing without their top scorer at Nats, so their placement there seems misleading as to their actual strength.

You can find midseason results as well as Nationals placements in the newly added link in the announcement.

Everyone already knows this but the Yale ACF Nats placement in the spreadsheet should mention the lack of "not that bad at quizbowl" person Jacob Reed.

Please see the comments on the spreadsheet on Yale's 17th place finish at ACF Nationals and JHU's 20th place finish without Robert Chu. If any other teams were missing key players at either of the national tournaments, feel free to PM me so that I can add a comment on the spreadsheet.

Sorry about this. Only two people voted, so there will be no results this year. Hopefully, there will be better coordination next year and the poll can go out much earlier than it did.
