ACF Fall & Regionals Editors Applications

As in previous years, ACF has decided to solicit applications for ACF Fall subject editors. This year, we are also soliciting open applications for ACF Regionals subject editors. Applicants may apply to both tournaments simultaneously.

Specifics for each tournament’s application process can be found below:

ACF Fall Editor Application

We’re looking to assemble a team of enthusiastic and dedicated editors with a diverse set of backgrounds and experience levels to build upon the success of the 2017 and 2018 iterations of quizbowl’s premier introductory collegiate tournament. We highly encourage all those interested to apply!

To do so, please fill out this form. We recommend applicants take the time and effort to submit writing samples and responses that best reflect their abilities.

ACF Regionals Editor Application

Breaking from tradition, the subject editors for this year’s ACF Regionals will be selected via an open application process. Our hope is that instituting a formal application process for Regionals will bring in a combination of both highly experienced and rising editors. As such, editors of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to apply.

To apply to become a subject editor for ACF Regionals 2020, please fill out this form. If you have any questions about the application questions, the timeline for editing, or anything else related to Regionals, please email JinAh Kim at [email protected]. The application will be closed at 11:59PM EST on July 21st, 2019.

We are very excited to announce the editors selected for ACF Fall and ACF Regionals! For Fall, head editor Rahul Keyal will be working with Ben Miller, Caroline Mao, Clark Smith, Ganon Evans, Halle Friedman, Justin French, Katherine Lei, Kevin Yu, and Tracy Mirkin; for Regionals, head editor JinAh Kim will be overseeing a team of Dennis Loo, Geoffrey Chen, Jordan Brownstein, Neilesh Vinjamuri, Nick Jensen, Nitin Rao, Taylor Harvey, and Wonyoung Jang. We were pleased to receive so many strong applications, and we eagerly look forward to the sets these teams produce.

In related news, the Nationals bidding process will close in a month, on September 1, 2019. We’d like to select our Nationals host from the best possible field of applicants, so if your school is interested, please submit a bid!
