2020–21 Postseason Poll
As we come to the end of the longest season of collegiate quizbowl ever, it's time for the postseason poll. To participate, please send a list of the top 25 teams in the world ranked from #1 to #25 to me at [email protected] with the subject "Postseason Poll". You can vote for B or C teams, but do not vote for high school teams. Voting is open until 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time on Friday, August 27, 2021. Please post in this thread or ask me if you have any questions about the process.
You can now feel free to use this thread to discuss particular teams or general ranking philosophy. Please do not post your ballot here; e-mail it to me as described above.

Re: 2020–21 Postseason Poll
What's the usual community norm around whether or not to include teams that did not attend either nationals (or more generally teams that played relatively little)? I'm inclined to not include such teams, but I would if basically everyone does that.

(memes aside, I assume this is not intended to only rank US teams?)

I have yet to see anyone advance the claim that "England is my country"; have you?Lake Winnipesaukee Mystery Stone wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 3:58 pmin the country

But yes, this is not an American poll. I have updated my wording to reflect that. Thanks for pointing that out.

Re: 2020–21 Postseason Poll
The allotted time for voting has come and gone and I've received exactly two votes in both this poll and the player poll. (Thanks to Taylor Harvey and Will Alston for submitting ballots.) I'm willing to leave both polls open for another week, but if in that time I don't receive enough votes to make the exercise worthwhile, then it just won't happen.

I voted in this poll. Is it possible that some ballots went to your spam folder or something like that?

I don't see votes from either of you in my inbox. If you sent a vote that I didn't receive, please resend it to me as as a forum PM.

Did you only check your inbox, or did you also check whatever junk or spam folders you have set up? Is it possible that many e-mails from different senders with the same subject line triggered some kind of spam filter?

The results of the poll are now available. My sincere apologies for the delay. Thanks as always to our voters: Taylor Harvey, Will Alston, Tim Morrison, Anson Berns, Alex Hardwick, Daniel Hothem, Christopher Sims, Caleb Kendrick, and Dan Puma. The poll would be impossible without your brave work.
