Breaking into the monopoly

Post by Aziridine »

So I'm on my college's quizbowl team (science/orgo specialist) and want to change the way things are done in my county (Westchester). NAC has a stronghold on us and I need to get HFT style tournaments up and running there...but how would this work? Anyone got tips, or is this like asking NY to vote for a Republican?

Now, what's so difficult about that?

You get questions (see this or this), pick a date and location for your tournament, and invite the schools in your area to it. You should also talk to any coaches you know in your area about what factors would influence their decision to attend your tournament and whether they would help you recruit other teams to it.

I'd definitely be willing to help... I've been trying to get this done for a few months now. Let me know what you have in mind.

As I said in the comp math thread: this is my lab partner. His writing style is nothing like mine!

Fred, check the IPs; you know it's true.
